Jim Tyrrell moved to appoint Kassidy Jordan to the Conservation Committee; Thomas Kingsbury seconded and the board approved the appointment unanimously. Select Board Chair Greg Huang-Dale confirmed that parental consent for the appointee had been received.
During other business Kingsbury suggested the town consider a policy limiting service on boards to town residents; the suggestion prompted discussion among board members but no vote or policy change at the meeting.
In public forum Chief Aaron Mick proposed that the Conservation Committee be given control of a recently tax-acquired property, a suggestion the board discussed but did not act on during the session. Resident Steven Smith raised questions about Eversource work on Little Chatham Road, planned roadway improvements and crosswalk safety near Fryeburg Academy.
The board did not take immediate formal action on the residency proposal or the Conservation Committee control suggestion; members directed staff to follow up as appropriate.
