The Fryeburg Select Board on March 26 confirmed a staff action to transfer federal A.I.P. funds and held an executive session earlier in the evening to consult with its attorney about an airport lease.
Jim Tyrrell moved to authorize and confirm Allison Navia’s Feb. 27, 2026 execution of an FAA Airports Division Verification and Intent Form that will transfer A.I.P. funds from the Town of Fryeburg to the Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport; Thomas Kingsbury seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to confirm the action. The confirmation notes that the town’s acceptance of A.I.P. funds was previously authorized by a Town Meeting vote approving Article 52 on the April 24, 2025 warrant.
Earlier in the meeting Greg Huang-Dale moved the board into an executive session under 1 M.R.S. 405(6)(E) to consult with the board’s attorney concerning leasing the Eastern Slopes/White Mountain Regional Airport property; Thomas Kingsbury seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The transcript records the executive-session motion and the later confirmation of the A.I.P. transfer; no lease terms were disclosed in open session.
The board did not announce any specific lease terms in public session; staff and legal counsel will proceed with work consistent with the authority granted in executive session and the confirmed A.I.P. transfer.
