Consultants from Sebago Technics and Fish Street Design presented a proposal to expand Fryeburg Academy’s True House at the March 24 Planning Board meeting. Jim Seymour and David Hart explained the expansion would not increase the typical daily student count (about 10 per day) but noted there may be up to about 50 ‘roaming’ students present at times; staffing is expected to remain unchanged.
Board members discussed whether a public hearing should be required and voted not to hold one. Chair Ed Price requested more detailed materials for the next meeting, specifically an interior layout, a clearer description of proposed student use, and a septic system explanation. The presenters agreed to supply the requested information for the board’s review at the following meeting.
