Task Force on Autism approves prior minutes, hears series of service and program presentations

The Arkansas Legislative Task Force on Autism convened Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, at 1 p.m. in Room B of the MAC in Little Rock. Senator Justin Boyd and Representative Denise Jones Ennett chaired the session.
Representative Denise Jones Ennett moved to adopt the June 17, 2025 meeting minutes; Dr. Jeff Adams seconded the motion and the motion carried, according to the meeting record. No vote tally was provided.
Following the procedural business, Task Force members received a series of presentations and exhibits on autism-related services and programs for Arkansans. The agenda materials included a 2025 General Session legislative overview (Exhibits C1–C5); a summary of developmental disability services and waiver programs from the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services, Arkansas Department of Human Services (Exhibit D); outcome data for the Autism Waiver program (Exhibit E); an overview of Arkansas Rehabilitation Services offerings and eligibility (Exhibit F); and descriptive materials for a proposed inpatient program for neurodivergent youth from Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of West Memphis (Exhibits G1–G3).
