Katherine Han of New Brick Strategy said the firm will interview roughly 250–300 likely 2026 voters in the district using mixed modes (cell phone, limited landline, online) and text/email recruitment; that sample size yields a margin of error of about ±6 percentage points. The firm will model the sample to reflect a 2026 electorate and will collect demographic data (age, gender, party, residency) so results can be analyzed by subgroup.
Consultants recommended testing ballot titles and near‑final legal language, specific project descriptions and monthly‑cost framings (rather than complex mill‑levy math). They advised splitting the poll so that the primary ballot question is kept intact while supplemental questions test separate "extra" projects — baseball field, auxiliary gym/PPOS, stadium renovation, HVAC/system upgrades, and San Juan Mountain School priorities — without diluting statistical power.
Timeline and deliverables: consultants expect to field the survey in late June/early July, return data by about July 8 and deliver a key‑findings deck and recommendations by about July 14 so the board can review results ahead of its next regular meeting. Staff said final poll questions will be approved by district staff (Rick) before fielding.
