"I'm hoping that the planning committee will realize that you really are not in touch with the wishes of the majority of the Wellfleet community," Agger said, noting the town-meeting vote split he quoted as 258 to 234. He argued the board has too often acted as a "naysayer and obstructionist" and urged members either to take a proactive leadership role on housing affordability and community preservation or step aside for those who would.
Agger offered to provide a written copy of his remarks to the board and thanked members for their volunteer service. The transcript records no formal board rebuttal during the public-comment period.
