The Wellfleet Select Board completed its annual reorganization on June 16, electing a chair and vice chair and appointing a clerk for the coming year.
After nominations and a roll‑call exchange, the board elected member Josh as chair. The board then elected Barbara Carboni as vice chair and appointed a member as clerk; the board also approved a motion authorizing the chair to sign warrant documents in the clerk’s absence to ensure continuity of administrative processing.
Members discussed the usual expectations for the chair and vice chair — running meetings, coordinating agendas with staff, and representing the board — and several members noted the extra time commitments the roles require. The board took the votes by recorded roll call and completed the clerk’s appointment with recorded votes as well.
The new leadership takes effect immediately; the board expects to continue routine procedural work and to coordinate with staff on outstanding agenda items.
