At its Feb. 11 meeting, the Guffey Community Charter School Board received updates on ongoing community linkage activities and local events and noted program leadership changes.
Board members reported that MCEA activities continue and that a Sundance presentation is scheduled for the next day; board member Malcolm Monlezun is scheduled to present on March 19. Library programs remain active and Art at the Bakery and Music with Flip were described as ongoing offerings. Ursula is running play practice in advance of Pie Palooza, and 4-Mile Church continues to provide food and other support for community activities. Kelli Maguire attended a Community Center meeting and reported back to the board. The minutes note that Pie Palooza planning is in full swing.
A newish Guffey Library librarian identified only as Jennifer introduced herself to the board; the minutes do not provide a last name. The board also scheduled its yearly planning workshop for March 14 at 9:00 a.m. at the Lodge; the workshop agenda will include presentation of the Administrator evaluation, preparation of next year’s calendar and a full review of policies. Amy Owen was assigned to chair the March 11 meeting and the board intends to include an executive session focused on the Administrator evaluation that day.
These community updates were recorded in the minutes as information items; no formal motions or policy changes tied to these programs were recorded in the minutes.
