Bremen selectmen outline staged repairs to town landing, shoreland work pending permit

Chair Wendy Pieh updated the Bremen Board of Selectmen on May 15 that the Town Landing will undergo staged repairs this summer, beginning with replacement of decking on the primary float.
Pieh said the town plans to attach a second float and a ramp once the decking work is finished. Dock and piling repairs will be scheduled in stages to avoid interfering with summer boat traffic. She said shoreland stabilization work will be handled by Gartley & Dorskey and will begin after the necessary permit is issued.
The board did not adopt a specific construction timeline at the meeting; Pieh described the phased approach as intended to keep the landing usable through the busy season. The update did not include contract awards or firm cost estimates, which the selectmen said will be discussed once bids and permits are in hand.
The next procedural step the board identified is completion of permitting for the shoreland stabilization project and solicitation of contractor estimates for the dock work. No formal vote or contract award was taken during the meeting.
