Committee clears broad consent package, moves several license and financing items

The Business, Housing & Zoning Committee moved and approved most items on the consent agenda, including liquor license approvals and renewals, appointments to various boards and commissions, acceptance of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act grant funding, and additional financing approvals for the Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
Chair Osman noted that items A through 29 were before the committee and that Council Member Rainville requested to pull Item 16 (Minnesota Ballpark Authority appointment) and Item 29 (data center regulations) for separate discussion. After those pulls the committee moved the remainder of the consent agenda and approved it by voice vote.
Notable consent items approved included appointments to the Minneapolis Arts Commission and Workforce Development boards, authorization for CPED staff to attend the National Alliance of Preservation Commission Forum, and funding authorizations for affordable housing projects including project financing for 2116 Nicollet Avenue.
Two items were pulled for discussion: the Minnesota Ballpark Authority appointment (Item 16) and the data center regulations referral (Item 29). Those pulled items were handled separately and are reflected in the committee's subsequent discussion and votes.
