The Zoning Board of Adjustment approved multiple largely uncontested residential exceptions and legalizations on June 15, 2026.
Key actions: staff recommended and the board approved a Special Exception J for a 306-square-foot carport over a driveway at 436 Bay (PCBA26-000024). The board approved a Special Exception C to permit a rear-yard addition at 6561 Cabana del (PCBA26-000026), with staff noting the proposal would leave a 15-foot rear-yard setback. The board also approved a request to legalize an existing addition at 8108 Margaret that extends about 12 feet 4 inches into the required rear setback (PCBA26-000027), and approved two exceptions (B and K) to legalize existing encroachments on an R4 property after staff produced aerial evidence showing more than 15 years of existence (PCBA26-000028). Each applicant indicated agreement with staff recommendations; planning staff said notices were mailed and they received minimal inquiry and little or no formal opposition on these items.
The board also approved the minutes and received staff announcements about personnel changes in Planning and Inspections.
