The Ellsworth City Planning Board conducted internal business at its Jan. 7 meeting, electing officers and receiving staff briefings on ordinance revisions and training.
Board members elected John DeLeo as chair (nominated by Rick Lyles, seconded by Matthew Outhier), Rick Lyles as vice chair (nominated by John DeLeo, seconded by Michael Hangge) and Michael Hangge accepted the secretary role; all elections were approved unanimously.
Planning staff reviewed timelines for upcoming ordinance revisions, including a draft of updated performance standards. Staff member Brittany Merrill said she will circulate a Doodle poll to schedule training dates (Thursdays preferred) and noted Maine Municipal Association (MMA) training of about three hours, with a suggested 5 p.m. start.
The board then proceeded to its agenda item on the Kingsland Storage Center; no public comments were recorded during the meeting. The session adjourned at 6:08 p.m.
