The Bremen Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to accept a 2025 mowing contract with J&H Landscaping for $19,585. The motion, made by Selectman Steve Page and seconded by Selectman John "Boe" Marsh, passed 3-0.
The contract total is $2,285 higher than the amount currently expended for mowing and added items during the season, reflecting several areas added to the scope at the request of the BCC, according to town staff. The board did not identify a new funding source; the change increases the mowing line relative to the current budget.
Town Clerk Melanie Pendleton presented the proposal during the meeting and said the contract outlines the locations and additional items included for 2025. The Selectmen scheduled a follow-up budget review meeting on Feb. 26 to continue work on the 2025–2026 budget.
The board’s approval authorizes the town to contract with J&H Landscaping for the 2025 season. No amendments to the contract terms were recorded in the meeting minutes.
