Under the agreement approved on a motion by Selectman John "Boe" Marsh and seconded by Selectman Steve Page, the town will pay $329,393 in year one, $362,482 in year two and an optional third-year price of $375,637. Selectmen said the per-mile price is comparable to neighboring municipalities.
The vote follows a staff recommendation and an itemized contract proposal. The board did not condition the approval on amendments; members signaled acceptance of the contract as presented and recorded the 3-0 vote.
The contract covers plowing and additional plow/sand work at the named locations; the town will proceed with contracting paperwork and operational planning prior to the winter season. The board did not announce a date for formal execution of the contract at the meeting.
