Housing coordinator flags compliance issue at 163 Upper County Road, announces June 3 lottery

The coordinator said the owner has hired an attorney and that recent program funding could pay for necessary updates, but that units could only be added to the trust’s waiting list when vacancies occur.
Trustees discussed the burden such compliance retrofits place on small property owners and suggested raising the issue with the regional shared services group to seek process relief and clearer guidance. The housing coordinator said staff would continue to work the paperwork, pursue communications with Bass River Realty and provide follow-up to the Trust.
Next steps: staff to circulate the 4.9 properties spreadsheet and related paperwork, escalate the procedural burden issue to shared regional services and report back on the status of the 163 Upper County Road compliance efforts.
