River Ridge CDD adopts loan amendment, approves $173,367.78 ditch‑cleaning estimate and several administrative items

On motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Mountford, the resolution was adopted "with all in favor." The resolution was presented with an amended project scope to allow certain drainage projects to be funded from the note proceeds.
The board also considered an estimate from MRI Construction, Inc., for dry retention flow‑way ditch cleaning adjacent to River Course holes #6 through #8 in the amount of $173,367.78. After discussion about debris removal, weir and control structure work and funding (with staff noting loan proceeds will cover drainage projects as part of the original scope plus an irrigation contingency), on motion by Mr. Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Twombly the MRI estimate was approved "with all in favor." A separate estimate from McCullers Construction Services & Consulting, LLC to install a new well (revised estimate #8, $277,550) was discussed in the context of South Florida Water Management District restrictions and long‑term water usage considerations; the board took no action and the item will be reconsidered at a future meeting.
The board accepted unaudited financial statements as of May 31, 2024, and approved amended minutes for the May 28, 2024 meeting. The board also approved a recommendation that the Fining Committee review and take action against homeowners who removed littorals from a lake bank.
