Board reduces wastewater testing for 30 Greenland Circle to once a year

The Board of Health voted to reduce routine wastewater testing for 30 Greenland Circle in Dennis from a higher frequency to once annually, based on consistently strong testing results reported to the board.
Resident Stuart Brown (identifying himself for the record) told the board his property's testing results were excellent. A board member initially moved to reduce testing to twice a year but, after discussion, amended the motion to a single annual test in the late fall to save costs. The health department will notify Barnstable County of the change so the county can coordinate testing with the town’s wastewater operator.
