The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors adopted its Fiscal Year 2024–25 budget and a related special-assessments resolution at a public hearing on Aug. 27, 2024.
District Manager Chuck Adams told supervisors the budget packet on the agenda contained errors and staff made corrections, including a revision to the description for "Street sweeping." The Board opened the required public hearing; no property owners spoke. On a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly, the Board adopted Resolution 2024-07, "Relating to the Annual Appropriations and Adopting the Budget(s) for the Fiscal Year Beginning October 1, 2024, and Ending September 30, 2025," as amended.
At the same meeting the Board opened a separate public hearing and adopted Resolution 2024-08, "Making a Determination of Benefit and Imposing Special Assessments for Fiscal Year 2024/2025," after removing references to "Exhibit B" and approving other amendments. District Counsel Tony Pires recommended opening the hearing; Mrs. Cleo Adams presided during the hearing. Both resolutions were adopted "with all in favor." Present supervisors voting in favor were Terry Mountford, Kurt Blumenthal, Robert Twombly and Chair Bob Schultz (participating by telephone); Supervisor James Gilman was absent.
The adopted budget covers the period Oct. 1, 2024–Sept. 30, 2025, and the assessment resolution authorizes the collection and enforcement of special assessments for that fiscal year. The Board directed staff to correct scrivener errors identified in the packet prior to final publication.
Next steps: staff will post the adopted documents to district records as required and implement the assessment roll for collection and enforcement per the resolution.
