Nathan announced a Planning Commission listening session on data centers scheduled for the 24th at 7:00 p.m.; he emphasized it is a listening session, not a public hearing, intended to gather public input to inform potential zoning code changes.
Joan told the council the Woodland Senior Center is hosting a countywide family fair at Indian Springs on Aug. 1, with free dental checks and physicals, more than 60 vendors to date and an expectation of several hundred to a few thousand attendees; the first 500 attendees will receive free lunches and registration will use QR codes.
Paula reported that Taylor Rice, a county data analyst, worked to recover past-due fees dating back to 2016 and has collected over $7,000 since January; cases under $100 will not be pursued further. Tiffany gave a brief audit update, saying external auditors had been efficient and the work was expected to complete around July 1.
Other brief items included staffing updates (a new hire in training), a recent successful exercise with strong turnout, and public-health mentions about Ebola and New World screwworms to be monitored. Chair Herb closed the meeting and adjourned.
