Pool operations and staffing: after reviewing historical costs and a 2025 salary estimate, the board decided to keep 2025 pool rates unchanged. The board also approved advertising for seasonal help (duties include mowing, weed eating, painting and general upkeep) and set pay at $18.00 per hour. Shavonne Schacher presented the proposed 2025 pool personnel roster, including assistant managers and lifeguards contingent on qualifications.
Municipal code and code enforcement: the Clerk was authorized to obtain an estimate to adopt the Nebraska Basic Code (NBC) from American Legal Publishing; the NBC adoption will be discussed at a budget workshop. The board also discussed code enforcement training following correspondence with Village Attorney Mike Borders and a meeting with Custer County Sheriff Dan Osmond and agreed to issue warnings before citations.
Administrative: the board accepted a single design submittal for the Carroll Street Courts matter (item tabled until design consideration) and handled routine operational updates from the Clerk including water‑operator training, scheduled tree care workshops and recent trouble calls and scheduled maintenance.
