At the Feb. 10 meeting the Board of Trustees approved several contracts and routine purchases related to maintenance and utilities.
The Board accepted the prepayment lawn-spraying bid from Green Acres LLC for $7,988.40 (prepayment rate $10.50 per 1,000 square feet) and will issue payment at the March meeting; Dan Pandorf attended on behalf of Green Acres. Trustees also voted to contract with Mills Lawn Service for 'Total Kill' bare-ground control at specified Village properties including the swimming pool, water tower, community center parking area and ball diamond fence lines.
The Custer Public Power District provided an estimate of $2,246.86 to change a regulator and repair hotspots outside the substation; the Board contracted with CPPD to proceed, noting CPPD will bill actual labor and expenses. The Board authorized purchase of Street Shop windows from Menards (estimated cost approximately $1,600) with village staff (Eric Holmberg and Tory Edwards) to perform installation. Trustees also authorized purchasing equipment decals from School House Graphics in sizes 10", 12" and 16".
Earlier in the meeting the Clerk presented detailed claims on file and the Board approved payment of claims across general and special funds (total amounts presented in the minutes).
