Arnold board authorizes pool hiring, sets wages and adds snow pusher to budget; trustee declares conflict

The Village of Arnold Board of Trustees authorized recruitment for pool personnel and set starting wages during its Jan. 13 meeting.
The Board voted to advertise for pool staff and gave the Pool Committee — Trustees Donnell DeLosh and Jason Jenkins — authority to hire. The Board set starting wages at $14.00 for a first-year lifeguard, $16.50 for a first-year pool manager and $15.25 for a first-year assistant pool manager; motions passed on roll call.
On equipment, trustees discussed purchasing a snow pusher attachment for the village Bobcat with an approximate cost of $5,000 and agreed to include the attachment in the 2025–2026 budget. Eric Holmberg said he would solicit bids for the Board’s consideration.
Trustee Austin Snyder declared a conflict of interest on the snow pusher attachment and on claims payable to Kubota, stating he is a salesperson for Kubota in North Platte. That declaration was recorded in the meeting minutes; the Board subsequently proceeded with the budget inclusion decision.
