Arnold board approves pool pay scale, certification costs to be covered

The Village of Arnold Board adopted Resolution 2025-2 at its Feb. 10 meeting to set wages for pool personnel.
Under the resolution, first-year lifeguards will be paid $14.00 per hour and receive an additional $0.25 per hour for each additional year worked. Lifeguards who complete a Swimming Pool Operator’s Clinic and become certified will receive an additional $0.25 per hour. First-year managers will be paid $16.50 per hour and assistant managers $15.25 per hour; managers and assistants also receive $0.25 per hour step increases for additional years. The Village will pay the cost of certification for managers and lifeguards if hired.
The resolution was placed to a vote and passed unanimously (Aye: Bowers, Hagler, Jenkins, Snyder).
