Arnold board adopts One & Six Year Street Improvement Plans

The Village of Arnold Board of Trustees unanimously adopted Resolution 2025-1 on Jan. 13, 2025, approving the One Year and Six Year Street Improvement Plans after a public hearing at the Arnold Community Center.
Village Engineer Tom Werblow presented the plans, which include armor coating for several streets in the village. The meeting record indicates there were no public comments for or against the proposals during the hearing. After discussion, the Board found the plans adequate under applicable state rules and voted to adopt the resolution.
The resolution notes that notice of the hearing was published in the Arnold Sentinel and posted in four public places within the village, as required by law. The Board’s roll call vote to adopt Resolution 2025-1 was recorded as Bowers, DeLosh, Hagler, Jenkins and Snyder voting in favor; no members voted against.
Werblow also told the Board he is preparing an application to the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy to renew a Construction & Demolition Site permit. The Board did not receive public opposition to the street plans during the hearing. The resolution takes effect as recorded by the Board; implementation scheduling and project details will be managed by village staff and the village engineer.
