At the March 23 meeting the Danville Board of Selectmen approved a set of routine but budget-sensitive authorizations.
The Board authorized the Chair to sign the CEI Storm Water Management contract as presented after staff explained the town will pursue an a la carte approach to limit costs; the presenter noted that the contractor charged the town $8,523.50 last year while a $10,000 flat rate was only illustrative. The Board also authorized the Chair to sign the Haverhill Bank letter of credit renewing the gravel pit reclamation bond, referencing the town engineer's February 18, 2020 inspection.
Separately, Selectmen authorized the Chair to sign the engagement letter with Plodzik & Sanderson for the 2024 audit. All three motions passed unanimously.
Board members emphasized tight budgets and asked departments to prioritize "must do" items in the stormwater contract; staff will return with procurement steps and cost estimates.
