After members discussed removing outdated material from the commission webpage and aligning the written guidance with recent town votes, the commission approved the amended draft. Carsten Springer moved to accept the revision after a brief procedural pause to confirm voting membership; the motion passed after Josh Manning was appointed a voting member for the meeting.
Commissioners then turned to the Historic District section of the town Zoning Ordinance. Carsten Springer told the group the ordinance still references application types tied to a private-property component that no longer applies and proposed that a small team draft a revision to present to Chip Current of the Planning Board and place a warrant article for a town vote. The commission appointed Josh Manning and Carsten Springer to review that section with the Planning Board and prepare a warrant proposal.
The meeting also covered membership appointments. Commissioners reviewed four board applications and voted to recommend that the Selectmen reappoint Christi Unger and Sayra DeVito as full members and to reappoint Marianne Sears as an alternate. Josh Manning read RSA 673:4 and RSA 673:4-a aloud during a discussion about the commission's authorized size and the number of alternates; commissioners debated whether to formalize a five-member structure with alternates consistent with a prior town vote and state statute.
The actions leave the commission with follow-up tasks: the drafted Procedures and Guidelines will be filed with the Town Clerk and attached to the minutes, and the pair appointed to work with the Planning Board will prepare a draft warrant for consideration at a future town meeting.
