Emmet County board adopts budget amendment, approves Kossuth County drainage assessments

Board Chair Lisa Hansen opened a public hearing on Budget Amendment #2; no members of the public submitted comments. Supervisor Todd Glasnapp moved to adopt Resolution 26‑19; Vice‑Chair Tim Schumacher seconded the motion. The board recorded a roll‑call vote of aye from Schumacher, Glasnapp, Pluth, Quastad and Hansen. In the same meeting the board approved joint drainage assessments from Kossuth County. On a motion by John Pluth, seconded by Tim Schumacher, the board approved the Tri #84 assessment to Emmet County landowners totaling $1,881.24 and the EK#4 assessment of $543.21 to all landowners; the motion carried unanimously.
Other routine procedural actions included approval of the June 9, 2026 meeting minutes (motion by John Pluth, second by Todd Glasnapp) and acceptance of a claims item for B and W Control Specialists related to an EPA 21 Outlet Main Lat 6 invoice after Auditor Heidi Goebel confirmed the charge to the correct district.
Auditor Heidi Goebel reminded the board that drainage records will be moved to the West Administration building after the June 23 supervisor meeting. The board adjourned at 10:13 a.m.
