Property Appraiser Marty Kier thanked commissioners and described the submission as a "lean" budget. Kier said the largest driver of the increase is the 2% salary adjustment and reiterated that the requested commercial appeals position would be funded through internal reallocation rather than a new county appropriation.
Commissioners praised the presentation and asked a few clarifying questions about timing and staffing. No formal vote was recorded during the workshop; several commissioners signaled informal consensus to support the submission and move the item forward as part of the FY27 budget process.
