The Mallett Hall Building and Grounds committee met Feb. 10, 2026, and elected Corilie Green as committee secretary while naming Jan Pieter van Voorst van Beest to serve as temporary chair.
The meeting, called to order at 6:30 p.m., recorded members Johnna White, Alice Kirkpatrick, Corilie Green, Marie Wendt and Jan Pieter van Voorst van Beest as present; Robin Hodsdon and Doug Robbins were excused. Guests included Craig Dietrich and Bill Schmidt. The minutes note that Kirkpatrick and White signed pledge-of-allegiance forms.
Guest Bill Schmidt told the group he would like to join the committee and will sign a volunteer form at the town office. The minutes also record that June Lacombe is planning to become a committee member; if she joins, the committee’s membership would increase to nine.
During the meeting Jan Pieter said he would function as temporary chair and encouraged other members to consider taking on the permanent chair role in the future. The minutes record that Corilie Green "was unanimously voted in as committee secretary and will take on the duties of minute taking at the next meeting." The minutes do not list mover/second names or a numerical vote tally.
The committee read and discussed its charge and asked members to review it before the next meeting; changes to the charge and the committee size will be discussed and voted on at that time. The meeting adjourned at 8:35 p.m.; the next meeting is set for Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.
