Atkinson council approves Class C liquor license for RF Goeke & Daze of Wine

The Atkinson City Council on Aug. 26 voted to approve a Class C liquor license for RF Goeke & Daze of Wine LLC at 107 East State Street following a brief public hearing.
Cliff Peterson, who spoke to the council during the hearing, said the license would cover the first floor and basement of the new location and that "they will have wine available for tasting and also to purchase by the glass or bottle." Mayor Josh Erickson opened the hearing at 7:02 p.m. and closed it at 7:04 p.m.
Councilmember Chuck Asher moved to approve the license and Councilmember Scott Shane seconded. The roll-call vote was recorded as Ayes: Krysl, Olson, Osborne, Shane, Asher; Nay: None; Absent and not voting: Counts. The motion carried.
The council record notes the business is currently operating out of the Something Special by Marilyn building and will move to the new location. The license approval allows tastings and on-site retail sales within the licensed premises.
The council took no additional regulatory actions related to the license at this meeting.
