Council awards 522/526 G Street demolition to low bidder InLine Construction

Pawnee City council voted Sept. 22 to award the demolition and site clean-up contract for 522/526 G Street to InLine Construction, the lowest of three bidders.
SENDD representative Brittany McCullough presented the three bids received: InLine Construction $39,370; Clausen & Sons Dirt Work, Inc. $105,485; and Gyhra Construction and Drainage, LLC $129,500. Council scored proposals on price (category #1), compliance certifications (category #2) and timeline (category #3). All three bidders met compliance requirements; the council ranked InLine highest on cost and timeline and assigned it an overall score of 15 points.
Council Member Pat Hatfield moved to approve the InLine bid with a proposed start date of Nov. 1, 2025; Council Member Susan Eisenhauer seconded. A roll-call vote indicated all present voted in favor and the motion carried. Clerk Tamela Curtis told the council that bidders had inspected the site and that she had received positive reports from citizens in Marysville, Kan., about InLine’s reputation.
The contract award authorizes demolition and site clean-up; the council did not alter the contract terms during the meeting. Staff will finalize the contract with InLine Construction and monitor the project schedule and compliance with required permits.
