Town council approves licenses, consent agenda and payments; Parasel payment for police-station requisitions cleared

The North Smithfield Town Council on June 15 approved several routine licenses and financial items, including a boarding license for equine-assisted-therapy at 642 Greenville Road and a retail fireworks license, accepted the consent agenda and approved payment of bills presented for the meeting.
Tracine (identifying as Tracine Boove) explained that Farmhouse & Wellness Center LLC would board horses for equine-assisted psychotherapy and said she is Eagala-certified and a licensed mental-health clinician; the council voted to approve the license. Ken McLaclin represented TNT Fireworks and the council approved a license for DV2 LLC/Walmart East to operate the listed fireworks retail outlet.
Council approved the consent agenda covering minutes and monthly department reports and then approved payment of bills for June 15. Administration briefed the council on four requisitions for the police-station renovation; after discussion the council authorized a payment to Parasel Builders to bring requisitions current (amount read on the record). The administration also reported a bond underwriting result that came in at about 3.649% as read, which the presenter called favorable.
Council also approved a one-year planning-board alternate appointment for Philip W. Gasparo and agreed to write off or adjust tax and sewer accounts as presented at the end of the consent calendar.
