Mr. Greene identified Kala Alexander as an interested successor. The clerk told the Board that Ms. Alexander previously served as a representative for Rangeley but resigned when she moved to Sandy River. Under guidance relayed from MMA Legal, the Board has authority to appoint a replacement to serve until the next Town Meeting, at which point voters may elect someone to complete the remainder of the term.
The Board asked the clerk to reach out and invite Ms. Alexander to the next meeting to discuss her interest in the position. No appointment was made at the May 20 meeting.
