County staff explained that when unanticipated revenue is received it must be appropriated into the budget using a budget voucher to align revenues and expenditures. In discussion commissioners noted the county must appropriate roughly $36,000 in remaining ARPA funds by Dec. 31 or risk losing the funds; staff said they will return with options to designate the funds to specific projects before the deadline.
A single motion was made and seconded to approve the airport grant amendment request, the outlay reports request for reimbursement and the airport federal financial report; the motion carried unanimously by voice. Commissioners then moved and carried the budget appropriations and vouchers required to account for interfund adjustments mentioned by staff.
