Superintendent MaryEllen Day reported personnel appointments and administrative updates at the Sept. 5 meeting. Day said Amy Prenier has been appointed custodian and Katie Newman has been appointed athletic coordinator for the 2024 school year; Newman will continue covering a three-day-a-week physical education position. Day said Eric Shore is serving as a substitute educational technician and will be hired as a full-time Ed Tech III once his certification is complete.
Day also told the committee that the Oct. 3 meeting will move to Oct. 10 at 6:00 p.m., and that beginning in November regular meetings will start at 5:30 p.m. She updated the board on an AOS office move; a board member asked whether the district will owe on a 10-year lease related to that move. Day reported the district had explored purchasing an electric bus but said the vehicle "may not happen due to grants," indicating the project depends on external funding.
