The Germantown Board of Education took formal action on meeting logistics and routine business at its June session.
A roll-call vote approved the 2627 board meeting calendar and specifically authorized the board's executive committee to change meeting dates if necessary without a further full-board vote. The motion passed with recorded affirmatives from Mr. Strain, Miss Griffith, Mr. Ellis and Chair Curry.
The board also approved the consent agenda by voice vote; the consent package included approval of minutes, first readings of a broad policy revision packet, the other-funds budget (second reading), miscellaneous FY2626 budget amendment number 12, the child-trafficking prevention plan, and the Houston High School band activity fee for 2627.
Board staff said publishing the calendar and approving the consent items will allow staff to complete administrative steps ahead of the new school year; the executive committee retains authority to tweak meeting dates if conflicts arise.
