Board approves transfer to cover higher utilities, accepts small federal funding additions

"This request moves money from regular capital outlay to operation of plant and utilities," a staff presenter said, explaining the district's utility-bill projections and why the transfer was necessary.
At the same time, the board received a report that the "other funds" budget was adjusted to include a Carl Perkins reserve of $46,000 and an additional $3,000 in federal funding, for a net $49,000 increase in federal receipts. Mr. Record said the items reflect periodic federal allocations and are typically reflected in a second reading of the other-funds budget.
The board approved minor budget items on the consent agenda and moved the miscellaneous amendment forward as part of routine year-end fiscal housekeeping. Staff noted the district is operating with a strong fund balance and maintains e-plan oversight and reporting to the state.
