The Village of Murray Board of Trustees adopted Ordinance No. 692 at its Feb. 11, 2025 meeting, approving comprehensive amendments across the municipal code.
Chairman Jeff Anderson read Ordinance No. 692 by title, describing deletions and substitutions to multiple code sections, including Title III (elections and candidate filing), Title III, Chapter 34 (budget statement, contracts and purchases, bidding, credit card acceptance and investment of surplus funds), public meeting rules and participation, tobacco licensing provisions, petition and recall procedures, and provisions governing property tax requests and limits. Trustee George Blessing moved to approve Ordinance No. 692 on first reading and to suspend the three required statutory readings; Trustee Zach Schroeder seconded. The board then moved to adopt Ordinance No. 692 on third and final reading, with ayes from Trustees Blessing, Flak, Schroeder, Bartlett and Chairman Anderson; the motion carried.
