The Carrabassett Valley Select Board took a series of routine but consequential votes at its May 11 meeting.
Motions passed unanimously by the five-member board included acceptance of the minutes of April 20 and 27 (moved by Lloyd Cuttler, seconded by Karen Campbell); appointment of Don Oakes as a Planning Board alternate and Deb Bowker to the Recreation Committee (moved by Jay Reynolds, seconded by Lloyd Cuttler); authorization to waive the bid requirement and engage a time-and-materials contract for up to $25,000 for Narrow Gauge brush clearing (moved by Karen Campbell, seconded by Jay Reynolds); acceptance of TRANE’s maintenance and computer-upgrade proposal for the Community Center totaling $11,494 (moved by Karen Campbell, seconded by Lloyd Cuttler); and a motion to enter executive session under 1 MRSA §405(6)(C) to discuss a real estate matter (moved by Lloyd Cuttler, seconded by Karen Campbell). The board later exited executive session and adjourned at 6:47 p.m.
