Murray Board approves consent agenda, park lighting and lift-station floats

The Village of Murray Board of Trustees met Aug. 13, 2024, at the Murray Municipal Building and approved the consent agenda, authorized purchases for lift-station floats and memorial-wall lighting, and adjourned at 8:02 p.m.
Trustee Stan Flak moved to approve the consent agenda, which included approval or correction of the July 23, 2024 meeting minutes, acknowledgment of the treasurer’s report, approval of revised claims, wages and payroll taxes, and the reappointment of Linda Brouhard and Leigh Hellbusch to the Planning Commission for three-year terms. Trustee George Blessing seconded the motion; Trustees Blessing, Flak, Schroeder and Chairman Jeff Anderson voted aye and the motion carried.
As part of the Planning Commission items, Trustee George Blessing moved to purchase replacement floats for the wastewater lift station from Electric Pump LLC for $738.75; Trustee Stan Flak seconded and the motion passed on the same 4-0 vote. Trustee Stan Flak then moved to approve a bid from Accent Landscape Lighting Inc. for $2,095.80 to install four in-ground lights at the Tyson Park memorial wall; Trustee Zach Schroeder seconded and the board approved the bid by the same 4-0 vote.
The published minutes record a maintenance report and a Planning Commission report but provide no additional operational detail in those sections. The minutes also list the meeting’s suppliers and expenditures, totaling $36,083.50 in claims and payroll. With no further business, Chairman Jeff Anderson adjourned the meeting at 8:02 p.m.
The clerk’s certification at the end of the minutes states that a complete copy of the minutes is available at the Village Office and that the agenda was posted in three public places on July 31, 2024, in compliance with the Open Meetings Act.
