Trails Manager Joshua Tauses updated the Select Board on the Narrow Gauge Pathway brush-clearing project, saying the last remaining section at the Campbell Field bridge requires roughly five workdays at an estimated $2,500 per day (about $12,500). He said the work is aimed primarily at improving winter grooming and that public feedback so far has been mostly positive.
Tauses noted the town still holds nearly $250,000 in the trails reserve; completing the remaining work would bring the total project cost to about $37,500. Annie Tuell moved to approve using an additional $12,500 from the trails reserve to finish the project; Jay Reynolds seconded the motion, and it passed unanimously.
The Board also reviewed warrant language to carry over $21,616.78 in Trails (Article 13) and to authorize using 95% of the annual race proceeds for trail development and maintenance (Article 15).
