The Roxbury Board of Selectmen on Oct. 24 directed staff to contact the town lawyer to begin exploring the process for amending the town’s Tax Increment Financing (TIF) policy and set a follow-up TIF workshop for Nov. 13 at noon.
Chair Timothy Derouche made the motion to contact the town attorney and Selectman Matthew Patneaude seconded; the board approved the motion 3-0. The board also scheduled a Site Plan Review Application workshop and a Building Permit Application workshop before the next selectmen meeting on Nov. 14; both workshops were placed on the calendar to give members an opportunity to review applications prior to formal action.
Members noted the Twin Energy Project (the same company involved with the Roxwind project) intends to appear at a future meeting as it continues the project into Rumford and to answer questions that Roxbury residents may have about the project. The minutes record the board’s intent to invite the company to respond to resident concerns and provide information at a meeting.
The board listed upcoming meeting dates and encouraged staff follow-up on scheduling and legal review.
