Roxbury selectmen seek auditor help, set annual meeting date and approve $129,685.44 warrant

Roxbury — On Sept. 26 the Board of Selectmen voted to enlist MMA to help advertise for a new town auditor, set the annual town meeting for March 17 at noon, and approved warrant #18 totaling $129,685.44.
Selectman Timothy Derouche moved that the board contact MMA to assist with proper advertising to find an auditor; Selectman Matthew Patneaude seconded and the motion passed 3-0. The board also discussed dog-license renewals and approved a reminder letter that requires selectmen signatures.
The board set the annual meeting for March 17 at noon (motion by Derouche, second by Ray Hodsdon; vote 3-0) and set a budgeting meeting for Oct. 24 at 5 p.m. to begin preparations for next year’s budget.
On financial matters the board voted 3-0 to sign the 2023 municipal stabilization reimbursement application seeking $3,812.87 from the State. The board noted the dock grant is a reimbursement grant and that the town must either budget a lump sum to pay up front and be reimbursed or spend the $25,000 already raised and be reimbursed monthly; the dock company has agreed to attend a meeting to answer questions.
The meeting recorded approval of Warrant #18 in the amount of $129,685.44 (motion by Ray Hodsdon; vote 3-0). The minutes did not list line-item detail for the warrant in the body of the minutes.
