Roxbury schedules public hearing on holding-tank ordinance and sets December workshops

The Roxbury Board of Selectmen reviewed several ordinance and planning items on Dec. 5 and set dates for public process and staff workshops.
The board recorded that the Holding Tank Ordinance is awaiting a public hearing, with January identified as the preferred month to schedule that hearing. The Comprehensive Plan remains pending receipt of information from the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments (AVCOG).
The board set a Site Plan Review Application workshop for Dec. 19 at 5:00 p.m. and a Building Permit Application workshop for Dec. 19 at 5:30 p.m. A workshop on a possible Tax Increment Financing (TIF) amendment was rescheduled to Dec. 12 at 10:00 a.m. The dock grant agreement was reviewed but not approved; the board will address that item at a subsequent meeting.
These scheduling decisions move several procedural and public-engagement steps forward but do not by themselves change the town’s ordinances or plans. Interested residents can attend the listed workshops and the forthcoming public hearing to provide input.
