During a special budget discussion held in the Gary White Memorial Room at the ROWE Safety Complex, Mayor Bryan Bequette led the Pledge of Allegiance and the council recorded full attendance: Commissioners Ron Osovski, Patrick Wehling, Joe Chaney and Cole Sharp. City Administrator Perry Mader, City Treasurer Katie Drake-Heng and City Clerk Randy Dunster were present.
Commissioner Ron Osovski moved to approve the minutes of the July 15, 2024 City Council meeting; Commissioner Cole Sharp seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously, with Osovski, Sharp, Wehling, Chaney and Mayor Bequette voting yes.
The body discussed a set of budget topics brought forward by staff, including projected budget revenue, outstanding bonded indebtedness, consideration of a cost-of-living adjustment for city staff, and the accounting and use of ARPA funds. The minutes record these items as discussion topics; no formal budget adoption or COLA vote is recorded in the minutes.
