The DeWitt Sister City Community Board on Sept. 4 finalized arrangements for the 2024 Incoming Goodwill Mission and completed a commemorative video to send to Koka for that sister-city relationship's 20th anniversary.
Chair Dawn Pysarchik said the board finalized details for a luncheon and DeWitt Day for the incoming delegates and noted a distribution plan for commemorative pins. "Chairman Pysarchik will be distributing MI-Shiga Sister State pins to wear at the luncheon," the board recorded.
Pysarchik reported that she, City of DeWitt Mayor Leeming and DeWitt Township Supervisor Galardi completed a joint video message to send to Koka marking the sister-city anniversary; board member Dustin Earley provided videography assistance. The board recorded the video as ready for transmission in advance of the incoming delegation's visit.
Board members also agreed to postpone planned website updates and public-outreach changes until after the Incoming Goodwill Mission, so staff and members can incorporate materials and photos from the visit into the site.
The board noted the next regular meeting is scheduled for Oct. 23, 2024, at 4 p.m. The meeting record lists no public comments on these items.
