Vernon County distributes emergency-preparedness kits at Coon Creek event and senior fair

The minutes state that 131 preparedness buckets were given away at that event. Staff later reported that remaining kits (reported as 130) were distributed at the Senior Fair on May 7.
The minutes contain both counts; the record does not reconcile why the two entries list 131 in one place and 130 in another. The department stated these outreach activities in the preparedness update and said the distribution was part of ongoing community preparedness and continuity-of-operations efforts.
The board did not take formal action related to the distributions but noted the outreach during the director’s report.
