Norwich Township trustees voted on Jan. 6 to join the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) and authorized the township administrator to complete necessary paperwork. The annual membership fee recorded in the minutes is $2,596.
Administrator Jamie Fisher also presented two policies for inclusion in the township employee handbook. The Frequent Traveler Policy, recommended by the Auditor of State and the Ohio Ethics Commission, addresses personal use of reward-program points earned while conducting public business and applies to elected and appointed officials and township employees. Trustees approved adding the policy as an appendix to the employee handbook.
The board also approved a Tax-Exempt Certificate Use and Sales Tax Policy, described by Fisher as complying with Ohio Department of Taxation guidance and Auditor of State Bulletin 2025-013. That policy will also be appended to the employee handbook.
Both the MORPC membership and the two policy additions carried unanimous trustee votes.
