"I am here to represent the WA Patilla Alumni Incentive Award," Beverly Clark said, explaining the awards are presented annually to one student at each elementary and middle school in the system.
Board members called students forward to receive certificates and envelopes. The board expressed appreciation for the alumni association’s contribution and congratulated the honorees and their families.
The awards were presented to students from multiple schools (names called during the presentation) and the board delivered formal thanks "on behalf of our board of education," underscoring the district’s recognition of community volunteers. No formal board action was required for the awards.
