The Pasco City Council adopted Ordinance 4846 to amend the 2025–2026 operating budget and appropriate $82,000 from the general fund into the streets fund for ongoing traffic-calming work in the Court Street corridor.
Director Sarah presented the item as a continuation of prior council direction and said the allocation covers improvements already underway. Council members asked questions about potential traffic displacement to neighboring streets and suggested monitoring other affected corridors if the measures reduce speeds in the treated area.
Mayor Prom moved to adopt the ordinance; the motion was seconded by Council member Parales and the council approved the amendment during the meeting.
Council asked staff to track complaints from adjacent blocks and return with performance data to determine whether similar measures are needed elsewhere.
